Clubhouse Refurbishment, The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews

Wellwood Leslie Chartered Architects

Since 1999, Wellwood Leslie have worked closely with the staff and members of the Club to refurbish and remodel the fabric of the iconic Clubhouse building. Overlooking the first tee and adjacent to the 18th green of the Old Course, the building forms the backdrop to the most famous view in world golf. Undertaken in phases, the work has included the formation of a basement locker room with direct access to the courses, refurbishment of the dining room, members rooms and offices. Over time significant work has been undertaken to the external fabric of the building to maintain its distinctive character.
