The Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification at the University of Dundee has a worldwide reputation for its research and innovation in the field of anatomy and human identification. Led by Professor Sue Black, the Centre has developed innovative techniques for preservation of human cadavers for anatomical and surgical research. The proposed building is intended to provide research accommodation for the Centre in the form of a new mortuary and an associated surgical skills laboratory. The new facility will integrate with the existing Medical Sciences complex allowing opportunities for multi-disciplinary research.
