Scottish National Waterski Centre

Taylor Architecture Practice

A reworking of the original, multi-use, building at the loch-side waterski centre at Townhill Country Park. From the main building foyer, visitors enter a top-lit space which brings daylight into the new reception area.

The extension projects out towards the water which, with glazing around all three sides, is now a bright and expansive space to watch skiers. The new extension is a compact, glazed pavilion with a triangulated, hipped-roof that allows it to connect to the horizontal eaves of the existing building and also to rise up to a central peak on the waterfront.
