We were appointed to re-design this residential development of 46 apartments with intedgated parking that benefitted form Planning Permission but would not achieve Building Warrant if not amended.
The apartment interiors and fire escape strategy were radiclally altered but the exterior form remained similar to the approved scheme, in what was a Design and Build appointment.
The buidlng was Glasgows' first concrete framed residential development for several decades. This provided robust fire and accoustic separation, while allowing construction to proceed in virtually any weather above 5ºC. Early access into lower levels for finishing trades allowed an unexpectedly rapid construction period.
