On the shoreline, this unique house is accessed over a bridge to a circular tower linked to a square containing living and sleeping accommodation under zinc clad roofs.
Built as a life-long house, a helical stair and lift are contained in the slate-clad library tower. Porthole windows allude to the marine location.
A lantern floods the upper hall with natural light. Bedrooms and living spaces open onto decks; glazed balustrades minimise obstruction of the view. Pocket doors throughout emphasis the open plan layout; technology is used to great effect.
The house has underfloor heating, heat recovery system and PV panels.
