Ballyfin Hotel

Purcell

Designed by Richard and William Morrison in 1826, Ballyfin is considered to be the finest neoclassical mansion in Ireland. Purcell was commissioned to develop the Protected Structure as a 5* country hotel. Purcell researched the estate's history, preparing detailed conservation management and strategic plans for the renovation and development of the estate. The building's luxurious first floor rooms have been restored and decorated with Irish antiques. A four-storey dormitory extension provides further bedrooms, ballroom, swimming pool and spa. The estate's fine iron and glass conservatory was dismantled, repaired and rebuilt to provide a stunning reception room.
