Crichton Memorial Church

Peter Drummond Architect

The Crichton Campus in Dumfries is an iconic former healthcare site now used by the Universities of Glasgow and West of Scotland, Scottish Agricultural College, and local health board. The Church occupies a focal position in the heart of the listed site, and is regularly used for worship, weddings, and functions. Much of the fabric is, however, now approaching the end of its life and PDA have implemented an extensive programme of conservation and repair. Work included the reroofing of the south transept and aisle, consolidation and repair of the tracery windows, stained glass renewal, and stonemasonry repairs.
