The brief for this Grade B Listed building was to provide a series of spaces that were modern in appearance, flexible, and yet respected the character of the existing building. Taking into account the age of the building, previous alterations and the desired outcome, a substantial intervention was required to achieve the BCO Grade 'A' standard of office accommodation. Working closely with Historic Scotland and the local Planning Authority a solution was developed whereby the building envelope remained unaffected by works, but allowed natural light to be maximised within.
