Fraserburgh Town Hall

Moxon

At the northern tip of Aberdeenshire lies the fishing port of Fraserburgh; a proud town, rich in history and maritime culture. As a crucial anchor within the Town Centre Conservation Area, the Category B Listed Town Hall is well deserving of an extensive restoration. By simultaneously expanding into the adjacent former police station, its capacity will significantly increase.

In addition, a contemporary extension to the rear will stitch the existing buildings together serving as both a means of unencumbered access and a new ‘front of house’. The techniques used in the proposal combine traditional masonry with modern glazing and precision steelwork fabrication.
