Loch House

McInnes Gardner & Partners

Featured as an episode on Channel 4's Grand Designs, this house sits partial on the water of private fishing loch. A traditional external appearance to suit Planning restrictions, but with an uncompromisingly modern interior architectural language. Unique and original cantlivered glass-tread staircase, double height spaces and open-plan throughout the entire ground floor. Frameless glass balconies sit over the loch at both levels. It is minimal yet homely, and incorporates colour-change scene lighting in the main spaces and full home automation and control.
