Abbotsford House

LDN Architects LLP

The A Listed Abbotsford is the creation of Sir Walter Scott, Scotland’s greatest writer and arguably the most influential Scot who has ever lived. The work conserves Abbotsford; improves the condition of its collections; improves interpretation and education facilities; and creates a suite of bedrooms for short-term let. Our proposals which received an award of £4.5 million from the HLF are based on a comprehensive conservation management plan for Abbotsford, covering everything from collections management to the evolution and importance of the designed landscape.
