A development of 12 detached houses in the village of Kildonan, Isle of Arran, consisting of 3 different house types. The use of pitched roofs and dormers, with white rendered walls echoes the vernacular cottage style typical of Arran, while the use of large glazed areas maximises the views of the Firth of Clyde as well as making the interiors bright and spacious. Galleries and 'cathedral' ceilings internally increase the sense of space enhancing the visual impact, while the layout affords every house a sea view by making use of the sloping site and staggering the position of the front and rear houses.
