This project involved the conversion of a semi derelict farm steading to a substantial and spacious family home. Working with an 'architect' client the scheme was negotiated through a difficult planning process. A contemporary intervention to an existing stone building, retaining original granite external walls the development created a light and airy interior comprising, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, upper lounge with stunning views, open plan ground floor kitchen/dining and integral garage. Timber kit construction with high levels of insulation, solar panels and FSC timber have created an energy conscious conversion.
