Campbeltown Regeneration

Coltart Earley Architecture

This new development forms part of a major regeneration project in Cambeltown. It was of primary importance during the design process that the new community would relate strongly to the existing. The new buildings respond to the rich architectural heritage of Campbeltown whilst providing light and spacious homes and external spaces which reflect 21st century needs. A WomensÍ Refuge has been provided within the development as well as allotments for use of the residents. All of the homes have solar panels for domestic hot water and a prototype house has been constructed to achieve a 30% reduction in Carbon Emissions ahead of the launch of the 2010 Building Regulations.
