Alterations & Extension to Salvation Army Hall, Newton Street, Kilbirnie

C & S Architects

The existing Corps Hall was refurbished, altered and extended to improve the accessibility and visibility of the building assisting the Corps in their mission connecting with the people in their community. The solution included a street level entrance hall with glazed frontage to the footpath containing steps and a lift to the main worship hall level and providing access to the new general purpose hall at this level. Additional toilet provision was also made at this level including an accessible toilet and baby change facilities. The light airy hall includes a bespoke suspended, illuminated cross as a beacon to all.
