This facility yields benefits for staff and students and ultimately improves services for patients and their communities. The building is an investment providing a training environment for the clinical years of the undergraduate medical degree as well as other NHS professionals and will ensure that we can train the next generation of doctors, scientists and clinical academics. Three floors are devoted to a wide variety of learning and teaching facilities as well as social and public spaces including a 500-seat auditorium, conference space, a wide variety of lecture and seminar spaces, a flexible teaching laboratory, a 12-bed clinical skills facility.
