National Phenotypic Screening Centre, Dundee

BMJ Architects

Refurbishment and conversion to provide a state of the art imaging suite with associated laboratories and offices that would act as collaboration space between themselves and the university attracting and retaining world class staff and commercial clients. Typical of the type and age of building, the existing MSI and its existing services, were both above and below the floor they served. BMJ amended this strategy and installed all new services on the floor they served and introduced new vertical risers, adjacent to the existing lift, thus ensuring any future renovation or conversion would not disturb other floors or functional areas.
