This facility will unite world-leading clinical academic expertise in stroke, cardiovascular disease and brain imaging. It will offer greatly enhanced medical imaging technology and form a core part of the new £64m Stratified Medicine Scotland Innovation Centre (SMSIC), based at the QEUH Campus in Glasgow. It supports c260 staff, including academic clinical researchers, industry partners and support staff and houses a £7m 7-Tesla MRI scanner. It is the first facility of its kind to bring together NHS, academic and industry partners to develop and apply advanced imaging technologies to aid our understanding and treatment of a range of human diseases.
