The Queen's Gallery

Benjamin Tindall Architects

|If the designer of the Queen's Gallery did nothing else for the rest of his life he would still go to heaven." Alan Little, BBC. The central theme is a celebration of The Queen's Golden Jubilee, expressed through a series of golden arches and screens that lead visitors from the entrance to the exhibition spaces beyond. Complexity has been turned into a simple plan with the new entrance. The entrance is a feast of design, art and craftsmanship, hinting at the treasures on show beyond. A magnificent new stair leads to beautifully lit galleries.
