Broughton St Mary's

Benjamin Tindall Architects

The provision of modern facilities within the Grade A-listed church has been achieved by extending an existing stair into a lower level, in a manner that makes the journey an attraction. The lower level provides a new Garden Room, a Creche, Kitchen, Office, extensive Toilets and enlarged Guild Room. New disabled and pram access to the church has been provided as well as internal stair and lift connections. Repairs to the roof, stonework and services have also been attended to during the project. The work received assistance from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Scotland.
