Bonnington House is at the heart of an historic landscape and a modern sculpture park, Jupiter Artland. The addition of two wings has raised the status and significance of the A-listed house and its setting and secured its future as an integral part of the sculpture park whilst remaining a comfortable, modern family home.
Extending the existing building with wings lower in height, to provide new accommodation for an archive and multi-purpose function room, balances and complements the original whilst not overwhelming it. High-quality materials and workmanship throughout also complement the original house.
Most of the original fabric remains. Minimal intervention connects the wings through existing openings.
