This Townscape Heritage Initiative restored two ‘A’ listed buildings and adapted them to modern uses for the benefit of their community.

The Dreel Halls changed a crumbling medieval church into a thriving community arts venue, improving the townscape and working with artists to reinstate the well-loved building as a beacon of community activity.

The derelict Murray Library was transformed into a Creative Industry Hub for local entrepreneurs and a hostel for backpackers on the Fife Coastal Path.

This project saved important historic buildings, enhanced the local economy and nurtured community resilience through careful conservation, creative adaption and close community partnership.
