Caber House require an architectural assistant with strong graphic design skills to join our sustainable design and build company.
We have our own range of low energy Standard House designs, as well as providing bespoke designs for clients who want something a bit different to our standard range.
Using sustainable construction materials and technique, we offer zero carbon builds. Our designs use Passivhaus energy modelling to ensure minimal energy useage, typically provided by renewable energy systems.
We work closely with Architeco, an architectural practice specialising in sustainable design, who have developed the Caber House designs.
We've a vacancy for a graduate and are looking for an exceptional member of staff who is skilled, self-motivated and keen to learn. Reporting directly to the directors, we need someone who can turn their hand to varied tasks as and when required in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
We are looking for someone who has an understanding of construction drawings as well as an aptitude for graphic design.
You will be responsible for: collating project information generated by the design team; assisting in the production of detail packs; producing brochure graphics and information for advertising, print, and on-line; create computer renders and videos; be client facing to promote the brand; carry out research and development to improve the designs; develop new designs; carry out site visits; anything else required to assist.
This is a permanent position and is therefore not suitable for year out candidates.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to quickly become involved in the different aspects of both architecture and construction. We're happy to support and help you learn and develop and will provide suitable training. We use Archicad BIM software for the majority of our projects so familiarity with BIM will be advantageous.
Part 1 / Part 2 Qualification in Architectural Studies or equivalent, or suitable degree in Architectural Technology.
Full Mac-based computer literacy and experience of CAD, photo editing, and graphics programs are essential.
BIM / 3d digital modelling skills would be advantageous.
Salary will be in the region of £20 - £24k
