Project Architect for Growing Rural Practice

Building Workshop is looking for a Project Architect to come and work on lots of exciting projects all over Scotland from our Drawing Office in rural Angus. Our Drawing Office is full of natural daylight, in a woodland overlooking a beautiful loch.

We are an established and growing rural practice with an interesting and varied workload.

We are looking for someone with:

  • broad experience of all project work stages
  • experience as project lead
  • experience running projects including contract administration
  • a thorough and meticulous approach
  • a positive disposition who enjoys working as part of a team

We use BIM (ArchiCAD) in our office. Experience of this would be great, but is not essential – training can be provided.

Our current projects include innovative farm diversification projects, new build houses, conversions of listed buildings, new offices for a potato and daffodil cooperative and farmhouse restorations.

We are looking for the right person for the job – someone who loves the countryside and is enthusiastic about people and architecture. We are a very motivated and ambitious little practice with plans to grow – for this, we need a great team.
