Vacancy for Part 1 Architectural Assistant


An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Part I Architectural Assistant within our busy practice based in Leith, Edinburgh. We have an exciting range of projects throughout Scotland, many of which involve the conservation and sensitive adaptation of listed or historic buildings.You will be working in a team on pre- or post-planning stage projects and will gain experience on medium scale developments whilst developing your design and professional skills.

To be considered, the successful candidate will have:

• Part I Architecture qualification or overseas equivalent
• A keen interest in architectural history and conservation
• Good design, technical and presentation skills, demonstrated through a well presented and
organised portfolio
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with people at all
• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and good problem solving skills
• A can-do attitude and commitment to own self development
• Reliable with good timekeeping skills
• Some experience of using all or some of the following software packages is desirable: MS Office
applications, AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Photoshop, Adobe Indesign and Lumion
