Architects Registration Board Guidance: Post-EU Exit Arrangements

The way architectural qualifications are recognised between the UK and the EU has changed, and ARB is now operating under interim arrangements. For those looking to register in the EU, you are advised to contact the relevant competent authority in the country you wish to register to clarify their specific requirements. ARB is reassuring architects that they will continue to provide certificates confirming your qualified status and liaise with EU authorities where it is helpful to do so. If you’re looking to register in Ireland, both ARB and the RIAI have formalised an agreement that allows architects to continue to register in both countries without the need to undertake any additional requirements. Further details on the ARB website here.

Key information setting out the position for EU and UK qualified individuals seeking to register can be found on the questions and answers page here
