About the project

A traditional Aberdeen terraced house with its street facing outlook has been re-orientated and transformed by the work to the rear garden elevation. A new kitchen was built in the re-entrant angle to the main house and rear wing and the whole back block opened up through to the garden via a new sun room which allows natural light deep into the building, passive solar gain and affords good views out to the re-ordered decking and garden beyond. First floor alterations provide a study and new bedroom. Contemporary design integrates with the existing to provide light and spacious modern living in a traditional setting.
